Deep in the woods of Florida lays a forgotten place. Guarded by nature, it remains concealed from the casual passerby. It is for those that have come to the end of their road. From all different walks of life and all different eras, they come here to give their frames a final rest. Here they find the solace that they have so long sought. Far removed from the hustle and bustle that once defined their existence, they now lay in silence. Their only true companion is the unrelenting Florida sun.

It was getting late in the day when my friends and I decided to head out on a photography rampage. This 1953 DeSoto Firedome was only one in a truly amazing group of vehicles. I must admit that at the time I was really “shooting from the hip”. The lighting at the time was amazing and I was doing my best to capture the texture of the rust that had accumulated on the trunk of this beauty. I wasn’t sure how to compose the shot, so let me know what you think.
